Butterfly Hair Clips - Linnie Bloom Designs

Here are the butterflies after they have been dyed and colored.  You will also see the white hair clips I sewed the butterflies on to.



This is a close up of one of the finished butterfly hair clips.  I used a blue dye for the background color, a black sharpie marker for the edges, and a black gel pen for some of the additional black coloring.  For the antenna I used a heavy gauge wire.  I then used either sewed on beads or sequins for added decorations, and then sewed them to the barrettes. 

I gave these to my granddaughter's who both loved them.
