The Simple Life with ScraPerfect

Pre-Made Scrapbook Layout The Simple Life with ScraPerfect

Good Morning crafters today I'll be showing you my new pre-made layout that I made for another gift album . First of all I just love the title "The Simple Life".  It reminds me of how I want to live everyday!

So this is what I started this layout with: A sticker pack I bought at "Dollar Tree", some bling dots, ribbon, a wedding invitation card, a tag by K & Co, some green cardstock, some 6 x 6 pattern paper, and a file folder tab, and my trusty bottle of Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect..

I like to use the No Clog Writing Tip that is an add on to the Best Glue Ever made by ScraPerfect. I can't begin to tell you how much I love this tip! It saves me so much time, glue, and sticky mess.  I will NEVER go back to a glue stick,  or glue stickers again. I have been totally spoiled by this writing tip.

So after gluing down the tag, I added the title sticker over the top of it, along with the little bling dot's on the butterfly's wings.

Then I added the 6 x 6 pattern paper, one of which I cut down to a smaller size. Next I added the wedding invitation, the bling dots, and a few more of the stickers, along with the file tabs. .

To top it all off I added some ribbon bows. A lot of my pages will have this same sort of look, but with different embellishments.  It's not that I don't know how to make something different it's just that for these pre-made pages, I have to think of the person receiving it, and that the page needs to be simple enough to match their photo's, and they can place them with ease. Well till next time "Happy Scrapping" Love Penny

ScraPerfect DT Member Projects

Good morning friends! Today I am going to show you some great projects made by some of my fellow DT member's from ScraPerfect! We will start with Amy's "Trash to Treasure" enamel ware pot.

This was the before image when it was totally a mess.

With just a little bit of the Best Cleaner Ever the cute little pot was soon rescued to look like this:

For the full details on how it was done you can go here: Enamelware post

Next up is Kim Fuller's Fairy Tag

On this tag Kim used ScraPerfects: Transfer foils and the Best Glue Ever . I thought this tag was adorable!
Here are a few close up shots using the foil;

and a close up of the lace work she did using the glue.

I think you will agree she did a beautiful job.

For full instructions go to this page: Fairy Tag

Next is Amy's beautiful dyed doily card;

For this project she used the Best Glue Ever and the Perfect Crafting Pouch.  For a full directions check out this video tutorial on this link: card post Just click on the image of the crafting pouch, and it will take you to the video.

Brad Scraproom Storage, and ScraPerfect's Best Cleaner Ever

Brad Scraproom Storage, and ScraPerfect's Best Cleaner Ever

Hello crafters, Penny here with some always needed scraproom storage tips. Most of my crafting friends, know I have an addiction to brad's. Yes, I totally need some intervention where brad's are concerned.  So I had to find a good storage solution for this problem. So I chose this super cute spinning spice rack, and the matching glass jars. I love the jar lids that are colored, and I try to put that color brads in that jar, but sadly those lids are hard to find. So for the jars that didn't have colored lids, I placed a colored sticker on the top of each lid to match the color of the brads that the jar held.  That way when looking at the jars from the top down I can quickly figure out what color brads are in that particular jar. Well I have got to tell you this is by far one of my favorite storage items. However, since I am constantly handling the jars, and I am too busy crafting to dust, the tops of the jar, and the holder can get dirty quickly.

Yes, these are what the jar's looked like prior to my cleaning them. They had previous sticker residue on them from when they were used for spices, which made EVERYTHING stick to them. Totally nasty! Thankfully I had a secret weapon for all that yuck!

 Scraperfect's Best Cleaner Ever !
It is:
Non-Toxic
Non-Hazardous

Biodegradable
No Harmful Fumes
It is also safe for hands, tools, clear, & rubber stamps, fabric, and more. It removes solvent ink from rubber stamps, adhesive build-up on scissors, permanent marker from white boards, the Best Glue Ever  from fabric, and much more, and it rinses off easily with just plain water.

So I forgot to take a "before" photo of the metal base, but here it is all dust free, and sparkling clean, after using the Best Cleaner Ever on it! Trust me it's a drastic improvement.

Here are those same sticker residue covered jar lids after cleaning them with the Best Cleaner Ever! Oh my, now at least it looks like you can touch them without washing your hands afterwards! There was some slight yellowing remaining on some of the jar lid's but that was due to age, not grime.

So here's my new, and improved brad storage all cleaned up and waiting on my next crafting project. Till next time Happy Scrapping, Love Penny P.S Send me all your brads, just kidding, not kidding...LOL

Grandpa's Are Great Scrapbook Layout with ScraPerfect

Grandpa's Are Great Scrapbook Layout with ScraPerfect

Hello Crafters! Penny here with a scrapbook layout featuring "Grandpa's". As some of you may know my grand kid's adore their "Papa Buddy" aka grandpa, so we had to make a scrapbook page just for him.

These are some of the supplies that we started with. The tan cardstock is actually invitation cardstock, that we are going to use as a photo mat, and journaling card. This layout will also feature washi tape, homemade flower's (I'll be doing a tutorial on how I made those soon.) some ribbon bows that I tied, and some brown, and green cardstock that matches our pattern paper.

So to start things off we are putting our washi tape down the strip of brown, and green cardstock, and gluing that in place. Of course the glue we are using is ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever I love that it's environmentally safe, but it still work's great, and it clean's up with just soap, and water.

Then we are adding the tag, and the title strip. Some of you may recognize this title strip from an old "Hot off the Press" booklet.  I have had it for year's, and decided it was time it made it onto a page, and out of my scrapbook room.

Next we added the invitation card, and matching journaling card. The journaling card was supposed to be a RSVP card, but I buy these kit's all the time at a discounted price, and since they are almost always acid free it saves me the time of cutting them out of other cardstock. The quality is usually better than regular cardstock as well. It's a win, win for me, pre-cut, and good quality paper.

Next we added the homemade flower's, and washi tape to the photo mat, and card. Another word strip, also from "Hot Off The Press"., The ribbon, and most other items on this page were glued down with ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever as well.  I like to add ScraPerfect's Fine No Clog Tip to my glue bottle.  That way I can glue tiny places without wasting any glue, or getting the glue all over everything.

Finally a couple of bling dot's, and it's ready for some photos. I hope you like the layout today.  Till next time "Happy Scrapping"! Love Penny

"Eat, Drink, and Be Merry" Premade Scrapbook Layout with ScraPerfect

"Eat, Drink, and Be Merry" Premade Scrapbook Layout with ScraPerfect

This page is one I made to include in the wedding albums I gave away as gifts this year. I made this page for the wedding reception photo, but it could be used for any "food" themed page.

Here are some of the supplies I started with: Cardstock, and cardstock cutouts, a dinner invitation, ribbon, bling dots, some plastic labels, some patterned floral doll house paper, (this paper comes in an extra long size to fit doll house walls, so I cut it down to fit this page. I am not sure where it was made as I purchased it at a flea market, a memo sheet in the shape of a drinking glass, and a tasting spoon given out by food sampler's at grocery stores.

Of course to glue down all these different types of embellishments I pulled out my trusty Best Glue Ever I love the fact that despite all the different embellishments I wanted to use, I don't have to change the glue! This one glue will glue down all different kinds of materials: Plastic, fabric, metal, wood, paper, bling dots, etc.. the list goes on, and on! Such a time, and money saver since I don't have to search, or buy 10 different adhesives to complete my page.

Of course those that know me, know that I LOVE this No Clog Writing Cap that you can purchase separately to fit your Best Glue Ever bottle. This makes perfect glue placement a breeze.  I could never go back to other messy glue sticks again. I am totally spoiled with this product!

Here is my bottle with the cap attached. This has become my best friend in crafting.

So first I cut off the border strip from the doll house pattern paper, because it didn't line up where I wanted it to otherwise. Then I glued it in place.

Next I added the dinner invitation, the memo paper shaped die cut,the rest of the pattern paper, and the ribbon.

Then I cut the green cardstock into a tag shape, and added the cardstock cut out, it was made by K & Co I think.

Then I added the sampling spoon, the bling dots, a matching ribbon bow, and the plastic labels. You'll notice that most of my layouts are simple, but that is what I like to create.  Call me "old school" but I still prefer for my photo's to be the "star of the show", not the embellishments. Till next time "Happy Scrapping" Love Penny

Pre-Made Scrapbook layout "Magic with ScraPerfect

Pre-Made Scrapbook layout "Magic with ScraPerfect

Good morning crafter's Penny here again, up with another scrapbook layout featuring ScraPerfect products.

Okay so this is what I started with: Some Pattern paper, some cardstock cut into different sizes, a doily, a vellum wedding invitation with the inner card that already has washi tape applied to it, a memo pad sheet, and a sticker title.

So first I applied the washi tape to the border strips, and glued them in place.  I did the same with the doily. I ADORE using ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever accompanied by ScraPerfect's Extra Fine Tip with Pin Cap it is an add on for ScraPerfectt's No Clog Writing Cap . When using this extra fine tip I can apply glue around the edges of the doily, with ease, and I don't have to worry about getting glue in places I don't need it on. When you use a glue stick for example it makes a huge mess, and you have to try, and remove the glue from all the little holes in the doily. Totally a sticky disaster!

This glue was also perfect for gluing down the vellum on this invitation. I loved the fact that I don't have to switch back, and forth between different glues when I switch embellishment types, because this glue will hold any type of product. This saves me a ton of time. I also added the memo pad holder as a journaling card, or photo mat. I don't know if it's acid free, or not but, if I just use it as a journaling card I don't really care about the acid level.

Next I added the photo mat, or journaling card to the inside of the vellum pocket, and glued the vellum in place. The inner card is decorated with washi tape, and some embellishments that match the paper, that I also applied to the memo pad paper.

Here you get a better view of the card before it was glued in place.

Here is what the card looks like placed inside the vellum folder. I glued this is place, but you can also make it removable.

For the finishing touches I added some flower stickers, some bling, an additional sticker to the outside of the vellum folder, along with some holes to close the folder with some nice ribbon. Using folder's like this is great for when you want to hide journaling, or photos that are of a personal nature. Hope you enjoyed making the layout with me today! Till next time Happy Scrapping! Love Penny

ScraPerfect's Best Cleaner Ever, and the Dirty Shelf

ScraPerfect's Best Cleaner Ever, and the Dirty Shelf

So I bought this little shelf for my granddaughter Madison (shown below in her favorite "Harry Otter" shirt") to keep her small do dad's in on her dresser. .However this shelf was DIRTY, so dirty in fact that I almost didn't purchase it.

I believe she purchased this shirt at the Georgia Aquarium if you are interested in finding one like it.
I am a huge Harry Potter fan so I think it's adorable. She loves otter's so she wear's it all the time.

I knew however that I had a secret weapon for getting it the shelf nice, and clean.  ScraPerfect's  Best Cleaner Ever . This cleaner it totally amazing, and will clean just about everything, so I was confident that it could handle whatever this shelf threw at it.  On one shelf it looked like someone had spilled fingernail polish on it.  I am not sure that is what it was, but it sure acted like it. With the cleaner, and a little elbow grease however it was soon gone.

After this cleaner worked it's magic however this little shelf was adorable, and beside's a tiny spot where the paint was missing (the paint was missing from the start, the cleaner didn't remove it)  it came out great. I also love that this cleaner is environmentally safe, and is also safe on your skin.

Another project completed, and now my granddaughter has a fabulous little clean shelf for her dresser. Till next time Happy Scrapping. Love Penny
