Trash to Treasure Key Holder With ScraPerfect

Trash to Treasure Key Holder With ScraPerfect

I bought this shadowbox key holder at a thrift store.  The door was broken, it was dirty, and the front photo was water stained, but it had great potential.

The inside was really cute, and had sections where you could have your house keys without anyone knowing they were there.

So to get rid of the dirt, and grime that had built up on it I used ScraPerfect's Best Cleaner Ever and the Perfect Cleaning Cloth . Together they made an amazing difference to the frame of this box as you will see in the last photo on this post. This cleaner works on a huge assortment of materials, and the Perfect Cleaning Cloth  cleans eyeglasses, laptop screens, electronic touch screens, camera lenses, and a multitude of other surfaces. Together they can tackle just about any dirty job with success.

This is the chipboard backing of the photo.  You can clearly see it has some pretty serious water stains, and needs to be replaced.

So using the old piece as a pattern I cut out some thick white cardstock to replace it with. Wow, what a difference!

To replace the stained front section I cut a piece of pastel checked pattern paper, using the old photo as a template..

On top of the pastel check I added this cute quote, and added some bling gems to give it a little more color. I held everything in place with 4 pink brads. I couldn't add too many embellishments because there wasn't room in the area in between the glass..

Then I removed enough of the staples to reinsert the new front photo, and backing. At this time I also replaced the missing screws that held the door on properly.

I plan on giving this as a Christmas gift.  I hope you like it as much as I do, and you do your own "Trash to Treasure" remake. Till next time Happy Scrapping, Love Penny

Pre-Made Wedding layout - Anniversary with ScraPerfect

Pre-Made Wedding layout - Anniversary with ScraPerfect

I recently made 3 pre-made wedding albums for some family, and friends. The do not scrapbook, so I make the pages, and leave the photo mats empty so all they have to do is glue down their photos.

I started this layout with these supplies, adding a few other embellishments as I went along.

So to begin with I glued down the title to a piece of gold cardstock, then added the bling squares as accents.

Using the same gold paper, I made two photo mats that fit 4 x 6 photos. In the center of those mats I added a darker gold punched out heart.

Next I added the bling trim along the top, and bottom of the photo mats, and glued in place the tiny plastic wedding rings on the title section. To soften up the layout I added some DIY Flowers to each photo mat,

It was at this time that I was thrilled to have on hand The Best Glue Ever ! It will glue a large variety of products from metal, paper, plastic, fabric, etc., and you only need the smallest amount of glue to achieve a great hold.

I also used this No Clog Writing Cap to make perfect placement of the glue super easy, even for the tiny gold bands in the center of the title  strip.

I used two different Martha Stewart punches for the butterfly, heart, and the word "love" added to the bottom of the photo mats.

In the center of each butterfly I added just a dot of bling that I cut from the gold bling trim.

To finish is off I added the white bow in the center. I hope you loved this tutorial, and until next time Happy Scrapping. Love Penny
